The institute has catalysed the building of two reputed schools, an art gallery, a library and an audio visual exposition on the life of Sri Aurobindo, as well as “Aumorto”, a state of the art retirement community for active seniors.
Established on 3 July 2024 by the YESpirituality Trust, SAIYES is visualised as an essentially online Institute in keeping with the evolving trends in education. Inspired by the better world vision of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, SAIYES aims at making a small but finite contribution to raising the consciousness of the human race. Because of the dynamic nature and long duration of the ‘Project Consciousness’, in order to remain relevant, SAIYES is conscious of the need to reinvent itself continually by keeping pace with the times through adoption of technology and formats that are the preferred modes of communication and learning among the youth. Although committed by conviction to the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, SAIYES is open to wisdom consistent with Their teachings from other sources. The institute offers short-term Courses, Workshops, and Talks in the fields of yoga and spirituality, and related areas such as education, psychology, and wellness. The tagline of SAIYES, ‘Designed to break barriers and build bridges’, has been inspired by Sri Aurobindo’s ‘Savitri’: “… the massive barrier-breakers of the world” (Book 3, Canto 4) and “She is the golden bridge, the wonderful fire” (Book 3, Canto 2).

The Lodi Ashram, which houses the Relics of Sri Aurobindo, sits on 3 acres in an agricultural area surrounded by fields and vineyards. The community is self-supporting through sales of books, incense and Ayurvedic products. Karma-yoga work exchange programs are offered, and visitors are welcome. Occasionally there are talks, presentations, musical offerings, and other unique offerings. Although the primary purpose of the ashram is to maintain a residential community for intensive sadhana of the members, providing a place for the spiritual nourishment of fellow devotees, friends and visitors has become equally important. Our aspiration is to manifest a Divine life upon earth.
